The Mercedes F-1 legal Street Car

The Mercedes F-1 Street Car

When you hear Mercedes you mainly imagine elegance at the expense of speed. They are looking to change the way in which people see them and they are doing this in a major way. Their newest idea brings to mind everything they have learned through their work with F1 and packs it all together into a single vehicle which could be used anywhere and at any time whilst still giving the raw speed of a formula 1 car. Mercedes are mainly known for their typical city cars and trucks. They have constantly been expanding their horizons and their aspirations of developing popular supercars and hypercars have not been received too well. They aim to change that with the very intriguing F1-powered road car. They might make a large impact on the industry if they can successfully pull off this new idea.

Mercedes-AMG is putting all of their research and work on Formula 1 to develop a hypercar which will be capable of producing upwards of 1,000bhp.

The expected release date is to be revealed next year and the hypercar will make the 50th anniversary of AMG and if you want to pick one up then you have to be very quick since they will only be produced in limited numbers.

The design of the car will be a very important factor as aerodynamics will play a crucial role in making sure that there can be enough downforce created in order to deliver the optimal performance which the hypercar should be capable of.

According to various sources the car is yet to begin testing as they are still focusing on the final stages of the design. It will obviously be difficult to combine the speed and thrill of an F1 car with the safety and regulations of a simple street car.

It is also suggested that the hypercar will include a 1.6-litre V6 turbo engine, the same one as is found in Mercedes-AMG’s current F1 cars.

The car requires a new gearbox, power supply and starter motor to be developed in order to allow the car to be able to achieve and realise the most mundane daily tasks.

So what are your thoughts on this? Can Mercedes really achieve this goal or will they fall short? Leave your thoughts in the comments and make sure to come back for more information and news about the most awesome cars.
