Lotus is renowned for its unique sports cars and having been in the industry for over 60 years, it definitely knows what it’s doing.
We’re kicking off our list with the fascinating Lotus Turbo Esprit. Lotus Esprit was introduced in 1976 however it wasn’t until 1980 that the Turbo Esprit was launched.
The vehicle included a turbocharged dry-sump type 910 engine and was capable of reaching a top speed of 150 mph (240 km/h).
Styling-wise the vehicle definitely stood out among its rivals. It looked modern and felt almost ahead of its time.

Lotus Turbo Esprit is a great example of how manufacturers have experimented with vehicles since the very beginning.

The next vehicle on our list is a little more modern. Although Pagani isn’t as big as the likes of Lamborghini or Jaguar, it still has some brand recognition, especially among car enthusiasts. The Pagani Huayra was first introduced in 2012 and it still remains in production today.
Powered by a twin-turbo 60° AMG M158 V12 engine, the vehicle is capable of reaching a top speed of around 238 mph (383 km/h).
The vehicle is not only powerful but it’s also rather unique-looking. It has gull wing doors, which add to its futuristic and unusual appearance.
Perhaps not the best vehicle ever made, if you are looking for power and luxury, the Huayra will definitely meet your needs however with a ridiculous price tag of $1,314,000, the vehicle it pretty much reserved for the super-rich.

We couldn’t have a list of the best supercars ever made without at least mentioning Lamborghini. The brand is one the biggest sports car manufacturers on the planet and having produced a great amount of vehicles over the years, it’s made a name for itself in the industry.
Lamborghini Veneno was introduced in 2013. Based on the Aventador, the vehicle was limited to 5 units out of which, only three were for customers.
The Veneno looked spectacular and aggressive, which earned it a lot of praise upon its unveiling. Powered by the Aventador 6.5-litre L V12 engine, the Veneno is not only great to look at but it’s also rather powerful.
As expected, the vehicle came with a ridiculous price tag and the fact that it was limited to only 5 meant that even if you had a couple of million to waste, you most like would’ve never gotten your hands on one. This only makes the Veneno more exclusive and awesome.


5. BAC Monobac_mono
The next car on our list is a little more unique compared to the other entries so far. It’s single seater however it’s road legal. It resembles a racing car yet it’s a sports car. There are a lot of things that make the Mono a fantastic vehicle.
Briggs Automotive Company was responsible for the Mono. Introduced in 2011, the car was very well received upon its release.
Powered by a 2.3-litre four-cylinder Cosworth engine, the vehicle is capable of reaching a top speed of 170 mph (274 km/h).
BAC Mono is a great example of how manufacturers like to push the boundaries and make cars that don’t necessarily follow the rules.



4. AC Cobra Super Snakecobra
AC Cobra Super Snake was launched in 1966. Its unique appearance proved popular and earner the car a lot of praise from the public as well as the media.
Super Snake’s styling was reminiscent of what you would typically see on racing cars of the era, which made it stand out. The road-legal vehicle was powerful and great to look at. Not only was it fast but it also took things to another level, which paid off.
In 2007, an AC Cobra Super Snake sold at auction for $5 million.

Manufactures often produce vehicles that are limited. This is especially the case when it comes to supercars. They’re much more expensive to produce and demand for them is limited due to the fact that most of us would never be able to afford them.
Maserati MC12 is one those vehicles. Introduced in 2004, the vehicle was limited to 50 cars. It was produced to commemorate the company’s return to racing with the racing variant of the MC12 competing in the FIA GT Championship.
The interior of the MC12 was rather luxurious, which is unusual for racing cars. The road-legal version included a number of great additions such as a stereo and the characteristic Maserati analogue clock.
The exterior was just as exciting. The vehicle was made entirely of carbon fibre.
Overall, Maserati MC12 was a powerful vehicle that looked fantastic and handled great.

Next on our list is another entry from Lamborghini. The brand has produced some wonderful cars over the years so it’s no surprise that more than one of their vehicles have made an impact on the industry.
Lamborghini Miura is one of the most popular cars the brand has ever produced. Introduced in 1966, the vehicle only remained in production for 7 years. 764 units were built in total meaning the vehicle is rather rare these days.
What made the Miura so unique was its intriguing appearance. It looked different to all the other sports cars available at the time, which made it stand out.
In 2006, the Miura made a return in the form of a concept car however currently there are no plans for the vehicle to return to production.

The number one spot on our list goes to the awesome Ferrari 250 GTO. The vehicle was a racing car that reinvented the game and earner the 250 GTO the title of the greatest Ferrari of all time.
Not only was it fast but it also looked fantastic. Not much needs to be said about the vehicle because it’s so iconic most people have probably heard of it already.
The Ferrari 250 GTO remains popular with car enthusiasts today with collectors spending ridiculous amounts of money in an attempt to get their hands on the car.
In 2013, the vehicle made history as it sold at auction for a staggering $38,000,000.
